 Staff members involved with transportation issues are encouraged to attend.

 The SWTA Legislator of the Year award is bestowed upon a member of the House of Representatives or the Senate who has significantly advanced the interests of public transportation in the previous year. The South West Transit Association is a regional public transportation association that represents the interests of transit agencies and related organizations in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The doors will open at 7:15 a.m. for coffee.

This event is no cost for SWTA Members and their guests. All non-members must contact Kristen before attending. Cost for non-members is $49 per person.

Committee on Standards of Official Conduct: This breakfast does follow the Committee on Standards guidelines as it will have at least 75 non-Hill attendees, it is open to a wide range of individuals from the public, private and government sectors and is focused on public transportation.  US Senate Ethics Committee: Rochelle Ford, legal counsel for the US Senate Ethic Committee, has approved our event according to the “widely attended events exception”. Members of the Senate within our eight states and staffers who work on transportation issues can accept the free breakfast.
