As RTD’s General Manager, Mr. Washington is leading one of the largest transit expansion programs in North America - FasTracks. As part of this expansion Mr.Washington has overseen the first major public-private-partnership in mass transit, the Eagle P3 line to Denver International Airport. He is also the driving force behind the Workforce Initiative Now (WIN) program—a collaborative partnership between RTD, the Community College of Denver, Denver Transit Partners and the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver—which seeks to leverage existing training resources through unique workforce development opportunities, focusing its outreach on those who live in the zip codes where developments are taking place. Prior to Mr. Washington’s transportation industry experience, he had a storied 24-year military career and retired as a decorated Command Sergeant Major.
