TIGER is Now BUILD, and the Application Window is Open

SUMMARY: The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018 (Pub. L. 115-141, March 23, 2018) (“FY 2018 Appropriations Act” or the “Act”) appropriated $1.5 billion to be awarded by the Department of Transportation (“DOT” or the “Department”) for National Infrastructure Investments. This appropriation stems from the program funded and implemented pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the “Recovery Act”). This program was previously known as the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery, or “TIGER Discretionary Grants,” program and is now known as the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development, or “BUILD Transportation Discretionary Grants,” program. Funds for the FY 2018BUILD Transportation program are to be awarded on a competitive basis for projects that will have a significant local or regional impact. The purpose ofthis Final Notice is to solicit applications for BUILD Transportation Discretionary Grants.

DATES: Applications must be submitted by 8:00 PM E.D.T. on July 19, 2018.
