TriMet Observed a Moment of Silence

‚ÄčIn light of the tragic loss of lives in our nation over the last year and with recent events, TriMet will observed a moment of silence at 12 P.M. today, Friday, July 8. They asked all of their buses and trains to stop for one minute in quiet reflection of these tragic events that unfolded.

TriMet stopped MAX trains at the nearest station and buses pulled over at a stop or along the road at a safe place for one minute of silence. TriMet staff and Transit Police also participated in observing this moment of silence in honor of the fallen Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer slain last night.

Employees and riders were invited to participate in a moment of silence onboard vehicles, at stations and stops. TriMet employees could also participate at any of their facilities.

TriMet stands together with our community and our nation to pay respect for the lives lost, for those who are recovering, and for those who are forever affected.
