Webinar: Drug & Alcohol Reasonable Suspicion

Tuesday, November 14, 12:00-2:30 PM CST

CALACT has generously made this webinar available to SWTA members.

This class satisfies the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration (USDOT-FTA) two-hour training requirement for supervisors per 49 CFR Part 655.14(b)(2). Agency officials must be trained in making the determination of when to administer reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol tests while managing employees with safety-sensitive job functions. Seminar participants will learn to identify the signs and symptoms and physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of probable drug use and alcohol misuse, and to make fair and reliable reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing referrals of transit employees performing safety-sensitive functions. Certificates of completion will be provided to participants.

Due to limited space available, we are asking organizations to limit agency-participation to five staff for the course. Each staff must use an individual computer as quizzes and tests will be administered through-out and a continuous active-status must be observed by organizers. These techniques are required in order to provide certification to trainees
