YCAT: 4th Annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive

Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) and Yuma Community Food Bank will partner on holding the 4th Stuff the Bus food drive to drive away hunger in Yuma County. Starting on Monday, November 9, 2015 through Saturday, December 19, 2015, any time someone brings a non-perishable food donation on board a Yuma County Area Transit (YCAT) bus, a free ride would be provided.

Through the Stuff the Bus Food Drive there was a total of 6,723 lbs of non-perishable food items collected in 2012, 9,081 lbs in 2013 and broke our goal for 2014 bringing in 12,488 lbs. We hope to see more individuals take action and participate in this great event and see if we can break 15,000 lbs for the 2015 campaign.

During these difficult times it is important to remember those less fortunate throughout the community. YCIPTA and Yuma Community Food Bank are proud to serve their community through the annual Stuff the Bus food drive in order to assist agencies in feeding the area’s hungry during the holiday season.
