ETCOG: TRANSIT ROAD SUPERVISOR
East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) is a voluntary association of counties, cities, school districts and special districts within the fourteen-county East Texas region. We assist local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound regional development. The mission of our GoBus Transportation Division is to design, implement and maintain an efficient, effective rural transportation system. ETCOG’S GOBUS rural transportation system operates a safe, dependable, and effective transportation network that provides mobility, improves the quality of life, and stimulates economic development through the provision of rural public transportation services.
ETCOG is seeking candidates for a full-time opportunity for our Transit Road Supervisor position. This position will manage and oversee day-to-day field operations and Bus Operators within the East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) GoBus Transit Division to meet agency compliance, productivity and safety standards while meeting the transportation needs of citizens within the 14-County ETCOG region.
- Ensure effective and compliant public transportation program delivery and provide service excellence, safety compliance and effective daily transit operations by managing internal procedures for GoBus operations. Ensure compliance with TxDOT and non-Emergency Medical Transportation broker policies and procedures. Market GoBus operations throughout the community by discussing operations and distributing marketing materials at local meetings throughout the region and researching opportunities to increase revenue for the transportation division. Desired Education & Experience
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required, however, an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, or equivalent professional experience in a related field of study is preferred. A minimum three years’ experience within the public transportation or logistics field is required including dispatch, scheduling, operator, management, and customer service. Related supervisory experience is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Salary Range50,000 to 65,000
