Kristen Taylor, Transportation Business Services Administrator for the City of Surprise has over 20 years of experience in the transit industry and 28 years in municipal government, working for Glendale, Avondale and Surprise. Her vast municipal experience includes budget management, CIP Planning, Transportation and Transit. Kristen holds a Certified Public Manager designation from ASU and serves as a board member on the Arizona Transit Association. In the Transit industry, Kristen’s achievements include the implementation of the very first circulator service for the City of Avondale and establishment of a new Microtransit service in the City of Surprise. The WeRIDE Microtransit program has been a huge success in Surprise, serving a population with transit that was never served before. To date this program has already provided 50,000 rides within the WeRIDE service area. In her current role Kristen manages all transit services for the City of Surprise as well as the Transportation budget of over $100M.
