Adopted by the SWTA Board April 11, 2012

Ratified with changes by the SWTA Board, January 20, 2017

SWTA recognizes that to fulfill its mission requires that inclusion and participation of individuals, transit properties and business members reflective of the diversity of its membership. SWTA is committed to diversity in all of its activities and identifying a diversity of candidates for positions as Officers and members of the Board of Directors of the Association is an essential element of this commitment.

Additionally, SWTA will make all efforts for diversity in its procurement and business services contracts. Diversity is defined as the inclusion of differences and similarities among individuals and all categories of members. It includes such areas as disability, gender, age, ethnicity, origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, geographic location and size of transit property or business member organization. All of these differences contribute to fulfilling SWTA’s mission. When the term diversity is used, it includes but may not be limited to these groups.
