Vince Huerta has over 25 years of experience in the Texas Transit community and an MBA from the University of Texas El Paso. He has a proven track record in leadership, extensive knowledge in Transit management and currently serves as President for the Texas Transit Association (TTA). During his time representing rural Texas agencies, he has helped increase membership and revenues from previous years. He has worked with numerous transit organizations across the state and has facilitated the improvement of on time performance, productivity, and most importantly, the motivation and engagement of staff members to provide safe, reliable, and friendly services to the local communities.

Vince is a professional in developing and maintaining extensive partnerships with local, regional, and state organizations that have moved transit initiatives forward across the state. In addition to TTA, Vince currently serves as board member for South West Transit Association (SWTA), as well as a state delegate for the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA). Through CTAA, he represents Texas Transit Agencies on the association's Delegate Council. Vince is also involved in other areas of the community, such as serving as Vice President of East Texas Human Needs Network and additionally as a board member for the top-rated East Texas Professional Credit Union (ETPCU) since 2019. During his tenure with the credit union, he has been played a role in transitioning ETPCU to a one-billion-dollar organization, providing the highest level of personal finance services. In previous years, he was a member of the Public Transportation Advisory Committee (PTAC), where he used his experience and skills to advise the Committee on the specific needs of our public transit providers. Vince is currently the Director of Transportation for the East Texas Council of Governments, Rural Transit District where he provides continuous support and expertise to his team as they work to better serve the transportation needs throughout a fourteen- county region.

Vince brings his extensive knowledge and experience to the SWTA Board of Directors and the transit community in the 8-state region with a goal to provide innovative transportation solutions for all.
